Therapy For Professionals
Discrete Services for Those in the Public Eye
When your career puts you in the public eye, maintaining your privacy and protecting your personal life become a daunting challenge. Carefully managing your professional brand can have a great impact on your private lifestyle. The choices you make in your personal life can impact your professional brand. You are critically judged according to your personal health, your personal choices, and the company you keep. When difficulties arise in your personal or family life, you may feel you have to conceal or diminish them.
You should not have to deny personal issues or compromise the need for counsel or support – for you or your family members– because it imposes risks on your career or professional reputation.
I provide discrete individual, couple, and family therapy to professionals and their families.

“Today be thankful and think how rich you are. Your family is priceless, your time is gold, and your health is wealth .”
—Zig Ziglar
Self-care is a priority. Let’s plan for it together.
Seeking therapy should not require hypervigilance or cause you additional stress. It should be an asset to your well being and success in both your personal and professional lives.
The reality is that your professional stature likely leaves you more vulnerable to stress, impairment, and strained family relationships . When people rise to positions of leadership, with great responsibilities, their time and priorities become limited. Long hours at the office, mandatory meetings, and heightened expectations beckon you to perform at levels beyond a healthy human capacity. Your valuable abilities and talents put you in demand. But those demands can take a toll.
Personal relationships and mental wellness are often the first things compromised when career opportunities and pressures multiply. While partners and families may initially support career advancements and promotions, the increased time away and external focus begins to breed disconnection, increased conflict, and feelings of resentment. Home may no longer be a safe place to find relief from pressure and expectations to perform. You may deny your need for self care and self preservation.
To expect you to be immune from personal issues and family struggles is unrealistic. As demands inside and outside of your home heighten, the more difficult it can be to exercise life balance and self care. Maintaining career success, mental wellness, physical health, and relationship satisfaction simultaneously requires a great degree of time, energy, and focus.
Therefore, it is a wise decision to align supportive care
to keep you moving forward,
to help you to overcome obstacles,
to protect and enrich your most valuable relationships,
to buffer the stress of all the expectations you strive to meet.
I understand what your privacy is worth to you. There is still a stigma attached to getting psychotherapy. While you should not feel any shame or embarrassment from reaching out for assistance, you should remain in control of who has access to your personal information. I will work diligently with you to protect your boundaries so we can address your needs and resolve your concerns in a safe, nonjudgmental context.
All of the services I provide are private pay and according to your own interests and benefit.* I do not contract nor am I paneled with any third party payors. This means that I am not required to document or report any diagnosis for you nor are your mental health records subject to review by invested third parties. Should we decide together that a diagnosis is appropriate or useful, you retain the choice of who has access to that information. By limiting insurance involvement, your treatment remains confidential and your records are retained solely by my office.** This further limits any access by future healthcare professionals, employers, life insurance agencies, or other interested parties.
I provide flexible hours and telehealth appointments to accommodate your busy schedule and reduce public exposure in waiting rooms.
*assuming you are not mandated to treatment, in which other rules apply
**within the legal limits of confidentiality and provider-patient privilege
